These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website and services provided by IceWrite (“IceWrite,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including its AI Humanizer and AI Detector (the “Service”). IceWrite is a service operated by Gigantic Apps. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
IceWrite provides an AI Humanizer that rewrites text into a more natural, human-sounding voice and an AI Detector that estimates how likely text is to be AI-generated. We may add, change, or discontinue features at any time.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your location, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Provide accurate information and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any law or the rights of others, including intellectual property rights.
- Submit content you do not have the right to use, or content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringing.
- Engage in academic, professional, or other dishonesty in violation of any applicable institution, employer, or platform policy (see Section 5).
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or circumvent the limits or security of the Service.
- Resell or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted.
4. Your content
You retain all rights to the text you submit and to the output you receive (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to process Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you — for example, to generate a result and, for Humanizer runs, to save it to your history. We do not use Your Content to train AI models. You are responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the rights necessary to submit it.
5. Responsible use and academic integrity
IceWrite is a writing-assistance tool. You are solely responsible for how you use its output and for complying with the rules of any school, employer, publisher, or platform that applies to you. Many institutions have policies governing the use of AI tools; following them is your responsibility. The Service is not a guarantee that any text will pass, or fail, any particular detector or review.
6. Plans, billing, and refunds
The Service offers a free plan and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis through our third-party payment processor (Dodo Payments), who acts as the merchant of record, and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future charges, and your plan remains active through the end of the current billing period. Except where required by applicable law, fees already paid are non-refundable.
Plan limits (such as monthly word allowances and per-request limits) are described on our pricing and upgrade pages and may change with notice. We may modify prices for future billing periods.
7. AI output disclaimer
AI-generated and AI-evaluated results are probabilistic and may contain errors. Detection scores are estimates, not certainties, and humanized output may require review. You should review and verify any output before relying on or publishing it. The Service is provided without any warranty that output will achieve a particular result, score, or outcome.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content (excluding Your Content), is owned by IceWrite and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. “IceWrite” is our trademark. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or to copy or create derivative works of the Service.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. On termination, the rights granted to you under these Terms end, while sections that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will continue to apply.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, IceWrite will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to applicable law, the courts at that location will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
